About the role

You will be responsible for:

Assisting the Development Planning and Policy Unit by providing support in matters relating to planning, transport and urban regeneration.

Providing survey, research and support to the unit in the preparation of the Local Development Plan and Strategic Planning Policy.

Providing research into emerging Development Planning and Policy issues and good practice from other administrations.

Developing and maintaining the digital database of the council’s holdings of land and buildings and development of GIS information.

  • Major Events & Venues – Managing strategic assets including Waterfront and Ulster Hall, Belfast Zoo, Belfast Castle, and Malone House and supporting the development of culture, heritage and the arts.
