There is currently one full time, fixed term contract post until 31 July 2028, subject to review.

You will be responsible to the relevant line manager for ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective Open Spaces and Streetscene Services and associated functions, in their area of responsibility in line with the department’s strategies and long term vision.
You will ensure the delivery of operations in accordance with the principles of performance management and the council’s policies concerning a total quality approach to ensure the required standards of service quality and customer focus are maintained at all times.
You will be responsible for the effective supervision, development and motivation of staff to ensure the allocated work is achieved with maximum efficiency, within agreed time and budget targets.
You will liaise effectively with and assist managers in other service areas within the department in the management of these service areas and in ensuring operations are effectively and efficiently delivered to agreed standards and costs.
You will liaise closely and effectively with trade unions to ensure effective industrial relations are maintained at all times.
